Soren is the master of silence. There is a beauty, eloquence and sophistication with this style of sparse playing that takes discipline to hold back, especially in this fast pace society. There's a sprinkling of piano, the bass subtly sneaks in and the brushes and cymbals find space. The notes linger and there's silence in between. Like fine wine the music breathes and it's almost a meditative experience. Just lovely!

I bought this album as I really love piano trios. Sunna has a lovely straight ahead style whilst throwing in the odd avant-garde left turn. What really surprised me is I keep coming back to her again and again. This is music that gets under your skin. All three are consummate musicians. Check out ‘Summertime’ for the perfect example of how to cover a classic in style.
